Fiber Optical Distribution
Box
The optical fiber distribution box, abbreviated
as ODB, is suitable for the wiring connection of optical cables and optical
communication equipment. Through the adapter in the distribution box, optical
jumpers are used to draw out optical signals to achieve optical wiring
functions. It is suitable for the protective connection of optical cables and
distribution pigtails, and also suitable for the use of optical fiber terminal
points in the optical fiber access network. Its connector plugging durability
life>1000 times. The entire curvature radius is controlled to ensure that
the curvature radius of the fiber at any position is greater than 30mm. Each
optical fiber is clearly marked, so as to avoid possible confusion caused by
disassembly during maintenance.
Performance description
Mechanical behavior
Connector plug-in durability life>1000
times.
The entire curvature radius is controlled to
ensure that the curvature radius of the fiber at any position is greater than
30mm.
Each optical fiber is clearly marked, so as to
avoid possible confusion caused by disassembly during maintenance.
Flame retardant: Meet the requirements of
GB5169.7 Test A.
Electrical performance
Connector attenuation (insertion, interchange,
repetition) ≤ 0.3dB;
Return loss: APC type≥60dB, UPC type≥50dB, PC type≥40dB;
High-voltage protective grounding device:
Insulation resistance: ≥1000MΩ/500V (DC).
Withstand voltage: ≥3000V (DC)/1min, no breakdown, no arcing.
Grounding wire cross-sectional area: >6mm2,
there is an obvious grounding mark at the grounding place.
Advantage
All kinds of joints are convenient for
termination and flexible installation.
There are multiple specifications such as
drawer type and fixed type;
Modular fiber distribution box termination is
more convenient and use more flexible;
Support the management of various optical fiber
connectors, such as SC, LC, ST, MT-RJ, etc.;
Up to 48-core LC or MT-RJ (24 dual-port LC or
24 MT-RJ) optical fiber connectors can be terminated in a 1U space;
Closed management;
Front operation, installation is quick and
convenient;
1U height, built-in two sets of optical fiber
coiled rings;
Recessed recessed or flush mounted
installation.
Scope of application
Optical cable introduction, fixing and
stripping protection, optical fiber splicing and protection, pigtail storage,
jumper storage and management, optical fiber fixed connection and
cross-connection and other functions; at the same time, optical splitters can
be installed according to customer requirements, Value-added module units such
as wavelength division multiplexers.
Used for the termination, use and management of
optical cables in wiring closets and equipment rooms.
Optical fiber distribution box application
construction
1. Lead the optical cable to the position of
the optical cable fixing plate at the back of the optical cable distribution
box.
2. Cut the end of the optical cable to a length
of about 1m. Then take an appropriate length (about 1500mm), peel off the
outermost sheath, insert the end of the ground wire barbed piece into the
stripping point of the optical cable (slightly cut the sheath with a blade),
and wrap it tightly with a film to ensure contact with the optical cable
armored steel tape reliable. Take the metal reinforcing core about 85mm from the
stripping point of the optical cable and cut off the remaining part, and fix
the metal reinforcing core on the steel wire fixing seat, and tighten the
optical cable with a hose clamp to make it stable. After the stripped optical
cable bundle tube is replaced with a PVC protective hose, it is pre-coiled on
the take-up area and a welding disc is introduced, and the PVC protective hose
is fixed on the welding disc with a cable tie.
3. Take an appropriate length of optical fiber
pigtail (usually 2 meters), paste a sticker on both ends, fix one end of the
pigtail to the adapter of the 6-port adapter mounting plate, and lead the other
end to the entrance of the splice tray. The pigtail is fixed on the splice
disc.
4. Move the back box cover together with the
splicing disc to the outside of the box for fiber splicing. The splice point is
protected by a heat-shrinkable tube and fixed in the heat-shrinkable tube
holder of the optical fiber splicing disc, covered with a protective cover.
After completion, fix the back box cover on the box body and straighten out and
fix the optical fiber.
5. When the optical cable is fixed in other positions (used on the
19-inch optical fiber distribution frame), when the optical cable is fixed in
other positions, you only need to directly introduce the PVC hose into the
cable tie plate at the rear of the box, and other operations are the same as 3.
